Fashion people, real estate people – all were party people last night at Luxury Listings NYC’s celebration of its recent cover star, the veteran fashion designer Nicole Miller, held at The Hotel Hugo on Greenwich Street in Soho.
Miller, who showed an edgy new collection at New York Fashion Week, was also coming off a successful event at Sotheby’s where she hosted the Art of Food with celebrity chef Michael White.
Ever the consummate foodie, Miller dashed off to her dinner reservation at Cipriani after the party.
Prominent personalities in attendance included architect Michel Abboud of Soma – who designed Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, where a $50 million penthouse recently nailed the record for Dubai’s most expensive apartment, and developer Sharif el Gamal. The two are teaming up on a project at 45 Park Place, a luxury condo tower that was originally conceived as a 15-story Islamic cultural center near Ground Zero, creating intense debate.
LLNYC’s previous cover star, Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle also attended the event with her guests, as did developer Joseph Moinian, CEO of the Moinian Group, who is starting 3 Hudson Boulevard, a super tall skyscraper in Hudson Yards. His brother, developer Morris Moinian, founder of Fortuna Realty Group, and son, Matthew Moinian, who teamed up to create Hotel Hugo, were also on hand.
Guests sipped signature mixed drinks made with Authentic Tequila Alacran and munched on hors d’oeuvres from Italian eatery Il Principe, located in the hotel.
The unusually balmy evening meant the party spilled easily onto the sidewalk for photos near a 1965 Shelby Cobra, a classic car from Imagine Lifestyles, one of several sponsors of the party.
