Miso cod for all! In Nobu’s continuing quest for total world domination, Mariah Carey’s bae James Packer, head of Crown Investments, has recently partnered with Robert De Niro and Nobu Matsuhisa in the famed Japanese-fare chain, investing $100 million in the restaurant chain. In addition to unlimited edamame, Packer will likely be offered a Board Nomination.

Nobu-mania is sweeping the globe! Bloomberg reports lots of exciting developments for the chain worldwide, including the opening of a Nobu Hotel at the City of Dreams in Manila and a “Hollywood-themed $3.2 billion Studio City resort in Macau, which features a Batman ride and a 400-foot Ferris wheel” — a true celeb draw, attracting the likes of De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese.

The luxe eatery also recently opened the largest Nobu restaurant in Doha’s Four Seasons resort on its own island and offering exclusive boat access.

And closer to home, get those chopsticks ready for a bigger, better Nobu experience. The establishment plans on ending its 20-year stay in Tribeca by opening a 14,384-square-foot sushi palace at the “wedding cake,” the former AT&T building in the Financial District.
