There are plenty of expensive private schools in New York City, but perhaps to their credit, none of them explicitly say they are for wealthy people. But then again, none of them have the best friend of Kim Kardashian on their board.
Jonathan Cheban is that friend and in an interview in “New You” magazine, he reveals that he’s working at the International School of New York, which is located (where else?) in Trump Tower and will be for “wealthy kids from all over the world.”
“I am developing the entire pop culture program for this school here in the Trump Tower. Wealthy kids from all over the world will learn things about private aviation, social media, quality of diamonds, types of caviar, mixed in with economics and other fundamental undergrad and grad classes. This is the social stuff you need to know to survive in a city like this with a lot of money. If you are buying a diamond you need to know the clarity and if you are buying a private jet you need to know the different leathers and seats. I’ll basically be the Dean of Pop Culture at the school,” he writes.
We know that’s hard to resist. According to the school’s website, the school will be opening in September 2016, so anyone interested should start the registration process now. We have a feeling the curriculum isn’t too rigorous.
