This gothic-style London estate makes quite a statement

Looking for a London pied-a-terre? Want to host opulent yet spooky dinner parties? Then consider this over the top gothic-style mansion.

This semi-detached five-bedroom house, located in North London’s Hampstead, has just listed for £5.5 million (roughly $8 million), according to the Daily Mail. It was the home of the late English film director Michael Winner, who spent millions of pounds renovating the property.

The home features large glass-stained windows, ornate chandeliers and large carved doors. Outside, the property has a gated private courtyard, off-street parking for three cars, a large terrace and an 80-foot rear garden.

‘Very few houses are as colourful and magnetic as this. It is not to everyone’s taste to be sure but don’t be surprised if you get the engaged tone when you call the agent. As with Michael Winner’s West London home this house shouts ‘look at me’ and yet the current owner has sensibly planned for a new cinema and media room leading to a fantastic pool which the local council would be mad to frustrate. Whoever becomes custodial of this extraordinary home is in for a treat,’ estate agent Henry Pryor told the Mail. The home is on the market with estate agents Savills and Aston Chase.
