“Emma” director Douglas McGrath picks up Midtown pied-à-terre

Director and screenwriter Douglas McGrath and his wife Jane Read Martin (a former assistant to Woody Allen) just picked up a new co-op at 17 West 54th Street.

McGarth — who is know from directing “Emma” and “Infamous,” and writing “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical” and “Bullets over Broadway” — paid just over a $1 million for the modest home, according to public records.

Located in the Rockefeller Apartments, the renovated one bedroom apartment features bay window looking over the MOMA gardens, granite countertops, sub-zero refrigerator and Viking stove. Check out the listing photos below.
