Your dream of owning a giant estate in Aspen just became a little more achievable. Oil billionaire Bill Koch (yes, one of those Kochs), has put a major discount on his Aspen estate, lowering the price from $100 million to $80 million. What a bargain!
Elk Mountain Lodge, as the property is called, has 83 acres of property, with a 15,000-square-foot main house as well as three other parcels with homes on them (the homes can be bought separately).
According to the Sotheby’s listing (the property is now being sold by Douglas Elliman, which does not yet have a listing page), that makes up 28 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, five half bathrooms, an indoor sports complex, a walk-in temperature controlled wine cellar, “trout-stocked” ponds and “multiple spas.” When one is not enough!
The home comes fully furnished, though the Wall Street Journal reports that Koch’s famous art collection is not included (considering he sold a Picasso last year for $67.5 million, that’s not a huge surprise).
