Lydia Hearst ditches her starter apartment on 57th Street

Lydia Hearst-Shaw, the great-granddaughter of William Randolph Hearst and the daughter of Patty Hearst, has sold her condo at The Sheffield at 322 West 57th Street for $2.45 million, according to city records. The buyer was the Wendy Rowinsky Revocable Trust. Brian Lewis of Halstead had the listing (and yes, he did make his signature, slightly ridiculous, listing video for it, enjoy).

If the price seems a bit modest for a member of the Hearst family, then consider this; Hearst-Shaw purchased the apartment for $1.5 million in 2008, when she was 23 years old. Not a bad starter pad.

According to the listing, the apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, south and west views, marble counters and “bountiful designer closet space.” Hearst-Shaw was a model, after all!

In addition to landing Vogue Italia covers, Hearst-Shaw is also a blogger on the site LoveLydiaHearst.Com and an actress.

She and her fiancé, Chris Hardwick, the CEO of the podcast network Nerdist Industries, recently purchased a 8,240-square-foot $11 million house in Los Feliz, California in October. We guess she’s moving up in the world.
