Actor Stephen Dorff has re-listed his penthouse apartment at 251 West 19th Street in Chelsea for $3 million, the Wall Street Journal reported. Jared Seligman of Douglas Elliman has the listing.
If he gets what he’s asking, Dorff will make quite the profit off of the place. According to city records, Dorff bought the one-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in 2006 for $1.65 million. Dorff attempted to sell the apartment in 2009 for $2.65 million, but took it off the market after nine months.
The real selling point to the apartment is its 850-square-foot roof deck, which features southern views and an outdoor shower (in case you have no shame). The home was recently remodeled, and is decked out with home electronic systems in the closet and a surround sound system in the living room and bedroom.
Dorff is best known for his roles in the 1998 superhero film “Blade,” Sophia Coppola’s 2010 film “Somewhere,” and for playing the original Beatles guitarist Stuart Sutcliffe in the 1994 film “Backbeat.” Paul McCartney, who did not like the film, did praise Dorff, saying, “I was quite taken, however, with Stephen Dorff’s astonishing performance as Stu.”
