Pimp your kitchen with a Dolce and Gabbana Refrigerator

Seeing as fashion people spend a good part of their lives trying to avoid the kitchen, it does seem somewhat ironic that Dolce & Gabbana would design an appliance whose primary purpose is to hold — horrors — food.

But it’s true! The formidable fashion duo is collaborating with the Italian brand Smeg to design 100 limited edition refrigerators called the Fab28. In true D&G style, these are no ordinary fridges, and were designed to incorporate elements of Sicilian culture, including lemons, the Trinacria symbol of Sicily, cartwheels and even medieval knights. Perhaps the idea is you’ll be so distracted by the artistry on the refrigerator that you won’t bother to open it up (and consume its contents).

This is not the first designer collaboration Smeg has made; the company also offered a golden refrigerator made with Swarovski crystals. Because that’s necessary.

If you’re interested in checking out the D&G refrigerators, they will be displayed for the first time at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2016 in Milan, from April 12 to 17. Just don’t lose your mind the way people did with those Rihanna Dolce & Gabbana headphones.
