Jim Stiegel, owner of Red Mare Wines, is putting his 8,100-square-foot, five-bedroom, seven-and-a-half bathroom home up for auction — with no reserve.
The home – which was previously listed for $2.6 million – is set on two acres of land in a gated community. It features a 3,000-square-foot open-plan living, a billiards room, an indoor patio, a pool, a waterfall, a fish-filled pond, a granite kitchen island (so large and heavy that cranes had to be used to put it in place), and a climate controlled 6,000-bottle wine cellar, which Stiegel describes as the Taj Mahal of wine cellars.
It also has a “Napoleon room,” containing a vintage armoire that, according to Stiegel, came from Napoleon’s home.
The Tuscan style property in Flower Mound, Texas, will be up for grabs through Decaro Luxury Auctions on April 9th.
