Jean-Georges will run the hottest restaurant in the Hamptons this summer

The farm at the Topping Rose

In his long and illustrious career, the great chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten has cooked for many celebrities (including celebrity dogs!). Now, he can add cooking in the Hamptons to his already-impressive resume.

According to Page Six, the chef has signed on to run the restaurant in the Bridgehampton hotel, Topping Rose House. Celebrity chef Tom Collicchio started the restaurant in 2012, but left in 2014. The current chef of the restaurant, Drew Hyatt, will likely stay on as chef de cuisine.

The hotel has its own farm, which provides much of the produce for the restaurant. This season, they are planting beets, onions, potatoes, radishes, kale, spinach, swiss chard, cabbage, lettuces, cucumbers, squash, beans, peppers, peas, corn, watermelon and eggplant — so that should give you some idea of what’s going to be on the menu.

Rich and the beautiful people tend to love Vongerichten’s restaurants, so we expect that many of them will flock to the Topping Rose this summer. If you want to join them, we recommend making your reservation as soon as you can.
