After attempting to rent it out in September for $11,500-a-month, actress Jessica Chastain has decided to list her duplex co-op at 250 Mercer Street for $1.8 million, the Observer reports. Kirsten Jordan of Douglas Elliman has the listing.
According to the listing, the pre-war apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, city views, a wide circular staircase and a closet with “double height proportions.” The movie star also outfitted the pad with the best of the best entertainment system, including a 65″ flat screen 3D TV, which comes with the apartment. The listing also notes that the apartment is also available to rent for $7,995 furnished or $8,450 unfurnished (we guess it’s kind of a schlep to move the stuff out).
The “Zero Dark Thirty” and “The Huntsman” star bought the apartment for $1.2 million in 2012, but has since moved on up in the world (and the city); last year, she bought herself Leonard Bernstein’s old apartment at the Osborne on 57th Street for $5.1 million.
