Martha Stewart co-chairs Orpheus Chamber Orchestra’s annual gala: Photos
On Tuesday, well-dressed guests gathered at the Metropolitan Club on the Upper East Side to support the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra’s ongoing commitment to provide performances of the highest caliber to communities worldwide.
The gala honored Patricia and Carlos Ardila and included performances by cellist Santiago Cañón for their philanthropy to the arts and education. The event included a concert featuring members of Orpheus with soloists Santiago Cañón-Valencia, cello, and Christopher Dylan Herbert, baritone, in a program that included works by Rossini, Vivaldi, Zipoli, Handel, and Mozart. A seated dinner and silent auction will followed.
The Honorary Gala Co-Chairs at the event included Brown Harris Stevens broker Kathy Sloane, philanthropist and Trustee Emeritus of Orpheus Elizabeth Newman, and businesswoman, writer and media personality Martha Stewart.
