This year the Kips Bay Decorator Show House – one of the top interior design events in New York City – set up shop at 19 East 61st Street. The interior design showcase is in its 44th year, and remains an impressive – and very pretty – exhibition of furnishings, design, art and technology.
This year’s featured designers include Garrow Kedigian, Alex Papachristidis, Victoria Hagan, Drake/Anderson and Suzanne Kasler, who all came together to redesign each and every room in the house.
The newly built townhouse is part of the Carlton House condominiums, and the 9,742-square-foot home is on the market for $49.5 million. Unfortunately for future buyers, none of this swag will be included.
LLNYC went along to a press preview and here our some of our favorite looks from the house – which will be open to the public until June 9th.
The boys at @davidcollinsstudio make blue look new again. I want to paint everything @farrowandball Cook’s Blue. That floor, those @hydeparkmouldings help, that mountain of @emilythompsonflowers help, too! #kipsbayshowhouse16 is a stunner this year; packed with inspiring moments and taste-level ratcheted to the top — congrats @bunnys_eye & team!

Bring your notepad when you visit @sawyerberson’s swank room at the @kbshowhouse, as it’s packed with smart design ideas: malachite-green walls; unframed antique paintings mounted on a sleek bronze slab; tailored seating that shimmers with glamour; shockingly beautiful terrazzo floors; and a magical terrace garden that’s literally care-free with its fun rolling hills of faux grass. Bravo, @jbriansawyer and your team! #sexychic #kipsbayshowhouse16 #archdigest
