Last night, 100 guests gathered at the newly renovated penthouse at 75 Wall Street and the building’s Terrace Club, where they admired the view and ate food from the dim sum restaurant Red Egg.
This was not just a regular listing party, however; guests were also there to learn something — specifically, Asian Americans were there to learn tactics for communicating and succeeding in business in the West. Investment specialist Anla Cheng shared tips on how to dress, act with clients and how to get promoted. To go with the dress-up theme, guests wore their most colorful and vibrant scarves and ties in a contest to see who had the most unusual item. The female winner won a bracelet and necklace from Chrisolfe, and the male winner won a two-night stay in the Andaz hotel.
Chiu-Ti Jansen, the founder of the lifestyle group China Happenings, was the host of the event. As we have previously reported, she has hosted similar events aimed at Chinese buyers in midtown.
