Cheeky Parisian design collective Vetements is known for making obscenely priced street garb, such as $1,395 reconstructed Levi’s. Rapper Snoop Dogg is known for his irreverent hits and eccentric commentary. One might think a mashup of these two over-the-top pop culture icons would be a win. But apparently Snoop doesn’t see it that way.
“Where do you buy that shirt? How do you sell a picture of Snoop Dogg on a T-shirt for $924?” He continued, “I wouldn’t even pay 900-something dollars for a Snoop Dogg shirt and I know the muthaf***a. Hell nah, hell nah! Nah, but that’s a good thing man, continued success to whoever sellin’ it man, hopefully one day soon y’all give me something. Break bread or fake dead, y’all know what it is!”
While the Dogg famously sings, “Now I’m fresh, dressed, like a million bucks” clearly he doesn’t think one’s garb should actually cost that much.
