Real estate reality star Jonathan Scott to face no charges after recent bar scuffle

In the latest incident of brokers behaving badly, meet Jonathan Scott, one of the stars of HGTV’s top-rated real estate reality show, “Property Brothers.” The handsome Canadian, known for helping buyers fix up and resell properties, ran into some trouble in late April in a North Dakota bar.

Scott was apparently kicking back a few at a Fargo drinking establishment and refused to leave after an early last call.  The kerfuffle began after he became angry that his drink was taken away. A security camera video of the incident shows he was subsequently forcibly removed. He returned to the crowded bar only to be ushered out again.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the police report quotes an employee at the bar who overheard Scott retort, “Do you know who I am?” when asked to hand over his drink. Never a wise thing to say!

Not happy with his treatment, Scott reported the incident to police, saying he had been put in a chokehold.

However, the Associated Press reports that according to Fargo City attorney Erik Johnson, there is not enough evidence to substantiate a crime. Neither Scott nor the business will face any charges.
