The Park Hyatt Chicago has just hired a brand new employee. Her name is Parker and she’s a five year old, one-eyed pug. No big deal.

Parker, who is described as a sweet, plump couch potato, came to the Park Hyatt after Walter Brindell, the hotel’s general manager, adopted Parker from PAWS Chicago, the city’s largest No Kill Animal Shelter.

Now the Burberry-wearing Parker resides at the five-star hotel as a permanent member of the Park Hyatt family. According to the Chicago Tribune, she enjoys a luxurious life of sleeping behind the front desk, basking in the sun at the hotel’s rooftop bar, following employees to staff meetings and greeting guests at the front door.

“For the staff, the associates, without question, it has just put a smile on their faces and it brings in an element to hotel environment that was not there before,” Brindell told the Tribune.

In February, the Park Hyatt Chicago announced its partnership with PAWS Chicago. The pet-friendly hotel now donates 100 percent of its $100 pet fee to the charity.
