This East Hampton home comes with a mural of Eloise done by the original illustrator

Though the mural in Al Hirschfeld’s former home on the Upper East Side turned out just to be wallpaper (somehow we don’t think its colorful new owner will mind), this new listing in East Hampton comes with a bona fide illustration of Eloise, done by its original illustrator, Hilary Knight.

Knight is listing his beautiful and unique home at 1 Squires Path in East Hampton for $1.1 million because he is looking to downsize his holdings, according to the New York Post. On Saturday, he hosted a book signing in the home, allowing fans and potential buyers to tour it.

The 2,300-square-foot home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which features a mural of Eloise as a monkey. There’s also a greenhouse with a deck overlooking a pool and pond.

Knight was the subject of last year’s HBO documentary, “It’s Me, Hilary: The Man Who Drew Eloise,” produced by Lena Dunham. He also owns a home in Manhattan and a smaller home in the Hamptons.
