Entertainment mogul David Geffen has reportedly sold his Hamptons estate for a whopping $67.3 million.
Murmurs of a sale were first heard last month when the New York Post reported Geffen had sold “Cody House”, his spread at 26 and 30 West End Road, to developers.
He paid around $50 million in 2014 for the 7,500-square-foot home, which includes a three-bedroom guest house, a dock and a pool. It’s also just a stones throw away from one of Steven Spielberg’s pads – who co-founded the film production company DreamWorks SKG with Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Georgica Pond estate was never officially on the market and the new owners are aiming to flip three of the four parcels that make up the estate. The 1.6 acre lot that includes the house and pool, plus two other vacant lots, look like they’re already on the market for $55 million with Zachary and Cody Vichinskyof of Bespoke Real Estate. The properties can be purchased together or separately. The fourth lot, which contains the guesthouse, isn’t for sale.
Geffen isn’t left homeless in the Hamptons though. It was reported last month that he’s the new owner of 199 Lily Pond Lane – a two acre, $70 million East Hampton estate.
