House of Cards star and owner of TV’s best pixie-cut, Robin Wright, just paid a premium for a West Village penthouse.

According to 6sqft, the Golden Globe-winner paid $3 million for the two bedroom co-op at 171 West 12th Street.

The spread comes with ceilings up to 11 feet high, large restored casement windows, a small balcony, a Nublado marble-clad wood burning fireplace, solid oak floors and doors, an open-plan kitchen with a white Carrara marble island, a spa bathroom with heated limestone floors, and views of the Empire State Building. Plus according to the listing it was recently totally renovated.

Meanwhile the building itself, built in 1922, has a laundry room, garden, live-in superintendent and dedicated storage space allocated to the apartment.

Interestingly, listing records show that the co-op was last priced at $2.5 million in March, almost half-a-million less than Wright has reportedly paid.

Mark J. Cohen of Brown Harris Stevens had the listing.
