The long-locked Scottish comedian and movie star Billy Connolly has sold his Flatiron co-op apartment. It was listed for $4.75 million.
“The Big Yin” moved to New York full time in 2014, shortly after appearing in “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” and selling Candacraig House in Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, for just over $4 million. It is unclear if Connolly, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, will remain in the city, or if he is on the move yet again.
His former three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment at 105 Fifth Avenue, at the corner of Fifth Avenue & 18th Street, is almost surprisingly tasteful considering the comedian’s eccentric tastes. The loft features large arched windows and 11-foot ceilings.
