An entire Micronesian resort could be yours for $50 (yes, really)

Doug and Sally Beitz, from Queensland, Australia, are ready to unload their waterfront resort on the island of Kosrae, Micronesia, in the western Pacific. But rather than list it, they’ve decided to hand it over to one lucky raffle winner. The best part? Raffle tickets are $50.

The 16-bedroom resort is set on three-acres of land, and comes with a profitable and well established scuba diving operation, $10,000 in the business bank account, a range of vehicles, a swimming pool, a solar power system, two dive boats, an 80-seater restaurant, a private beach and three private residences.

According to their website, the Kosrae Nautilus Resort, established in 1994, is the island’s longest running dive operation and one of the best maintained and managed hotels in Micronesia.

But there is a catch. If they don’t sell at least 50,000 raffle tickets, they wont give the winner the resort. Instead the winner will get 50% of the money raised from the ticket sales — pretty good deal either way.

The Win the Island Estates draw takes place on July 26, 2016 and is open to anyone.
