Chef Laurent Tourondel picks up Nomad crash pad

Chef Laurent Tourondel, owner of BLT Restaurant Group, has picked up a sweet slice of Manhattan. The Brasserie Ruhlmann chef paid $2.6 million for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom pad at 50 West 29th Street in Nomad, according to public records.

The modern loft is located on the fourth floor of the 14-story building not far from the chef’s restaurant L’Amico on the corner of 29th Street and 6th Avenue. Tourondel’s restaurant The Vine is also nearby.

Halstead last listed the 2,200-square-foot apartment for $3.8 million. Lois Ingram is the seller.

Tourondel runs 11 restaurants in 10 countries – five of which are in NYC.
