If you don’t already own a beach house, you are probably wishing that you did right about now. But unless your pockets are particularly deep, don’t even bother trying to holiday on these exclusive shores.

TravelBird, a holiday specialist, has released a Beach Price Index that looked at 900 of the world’s most popular beachfronts. The index calculates the cost of a day at each seafront, factoring in average costs for sun cream, a bottle of water, a beer, ice-cream and lunch.
