Bespoke vacation company Black Tomato, are taking home movies to a whole new level.
According to Bloomberg, the company has just hired Tim Browning, a filmmaker who has worked on the set of big-budget blockbusters including “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, “Skyfall” and “Spectre”.
He has signed on as Black Tomato’s exclusive drone photographer.
Meaning that yes, your vacation can now be filmed from a drone by an actual Hollywood filmmaker.
The newly launched “Drone the World” trips include motorcycle tours of Ho Chi Minh City, sand boarding down the dunes of Namibia’s Skeleton Coast, hiking along the Great Wall of China, or scaling a volcano in Iceland. Crucially these are places where drones are allowed to film freely – don’t expect any New York City footage any time soon.
But what it will cost you? At least $5,500 — that’s the starting price per person for a weekend trip that includes Browning as your eyes in the sky. Just imagine what a week long family holiday would cost! [Bloomberg]
