“Barefoot Contessa” Ina Garten and her husband/cookbook inspiration, Jeffrey, have just nabbed themselves an Upper East Side co-op.

The pair shelled out $4.65 million for a two-bedroom, 2,450-square-foot spread at 563 Park Avenue.

The home comes with 10-foot ceilings, multiple fireplaces, a library with very nice floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, and a “dining gallery”. Of course the apartment has a pretty swanky kitchen too, which the listing describes as, “perfect for an enthusiastic cook.” Or a celebrity chef we suppose.

The unit’s previous owners were John and Nancy Novogrod — Nancy is the former editor-in-chief of “Travel & Leisure.”

LLNYC suspected a purchase was on the cards for the couple after Garten was spotted checking out a unit at 141 East 88th Street back in April.

The couple also owns a unit nearby at 71 East 77th Street.

Cornelia Zagat Eland and Mark Reynolds Blumenfeld of Stribling handled the listing. [Observer]

  • This apartment has one of those great, old, Park Avenue floorplans. I love it. If it were transported to Chelsea or the West Village and I had a few million to toss around – I’d definitely be interested 😉
