Daenerys Targaryen may have dropped Daario Naharis as her lover, but the actor who plays him, Michiel Huisman, has a pretty good consolation prize. The Dutch actor has purchased a co-op at 874 Broadway in the McIntyre building in Flatiron for $2.2 million, according to city records.
The unusual apartment is a dual-level loft, and has two-bedrooms, two-bathrooms and views of Union Square. The listing notes that it is an “ideal canvas for renovation,” though we like the way it looks already. The historic, pre-war building was built in 1892 by Ewen McIntyre.
Huisman is best known for his work on “Game of Thrones” as Daenerys Targaryen’s (now ex) lover and champion. Originally from the Netherlands, he has also appeared in “Treme,” “Nashville,” and the movie “Wild” with Reese Witherspoon. He is married to actress Tara Elders, who is also Dutch and played a role in the 2007 film “Interview” with Sienna Miller and Steve Buscemi.
