While there’s no shortage of new hotels opening in Manhattan, we feel confident saying that none of them come close to the beauty of the new Beekman Hotel at 123 Nassau Street. The hotel hosted a star-studded party back in June for the elites, and now, the rest of us will be able to (finally) take a look inside for ourselves as the hotel officially opened yesterday.
The crown jewel of the Beekman is its amazing Temple Court, which was built in 1890, rises nine stories and is topped with a “pyramidal skylight.” The hotel will also house new restaurants from Tom Colicchio and Keith McNally. Rates are (obviously) not cheap, though there are some rooms available with the “grand opening offer,” which includes breakfast for two at Tom Colicchio’s restaurant, “guaranteed room upgrade,” and –the most important amenity of all — wifi. A “Superior Queen” room with the special is $389, which isn’t too bad — but we don’t expect the offer to last long.
In addition to the hotel, the Beekman will also be opening residences next door in winter 2016 (no opening date for those yet).
