In the hills overlooking the French Riviera sits a stone-lined residence that was once the vacation home of French actress/singer/model Brigitte Bardot. And it could be yours for around $5.6 million.
According to the LA Times, Bardot retreated to the home in her early 20s after divorcing her first husband, Roger Vadim. As the legend goes, she intended to buy the property, known as Le Castelet, but snapped up a waterfront property in St. Tropez instead.
The main home, which dates back to the 13th century, holds a living room with high ceilings, and an original Louis XIV fireplace, along with a fully fitted kitchen and eight bedrooms.
Then there’s the four-bedroom guest house, two infinity pools, a pool house, an outdoor summer kitchen and traditional pizza oven, the vineyard – which can produce around 1,000 bottles of wine per year, 80 olive trees, and the Japanese “deco pool”.
