Move over Dollywood and Graceland, there’s a new music icon’s estate to visit. Starting October 6th, Prince fans can tour his Paisley Park home, a 65,000-square-foot private estate and studio complex in the Minneapolis suburb of Chanhassen. Those eager to see how rock royalty lived and worked can embark on a tour — run by the same folks who oversee Graceland — that includes the recently deceased superstar’s recording studios and thousands of artifacts from his personal archives.

“Opening Paisley Park is something that Prince always wanted to do and was actively working on,” Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson, said in the statement. “Only a few hundred people have had the rare opportunity to tour the estate during his lifetime. Now, fans from around the world will be able to experience Prince’s world for the first time as we open the doors to this incredible place.”

Bremer Trust hopes to have Paisley Park rezoned to permit its use as a museum, with a hearing scheduled for next month.
