British lord, American model list their West Village apartment

Former American model, Dawn Alexander Russell, and her husband Lord James Russell have listed their West Village apartment at 299 West 12th Street for $2.5 million, according to StreetEasy.

People Magazine once called Dawn Russell “the American Mom with a Downton Abbey Life!” due to her marriage to James Russell, a member of one of Britain’s oldest noble families. His brother, Andrew, is the current Duke of Bedford. According to the article, James and Dawn spend much of their time in their apartment in London. Dawn Russell is also the founder of 8G, a vegetable supplement that dissolves in water and is favored by celebrities like Keri Russell.

The New York apartment they are selling is a modest 875 square feet, and has one bedroom and one bathroom (it also looks like there’s a tiny cramped bedroom for guests). It features a step-down living room, hardware floors, stainless steel appliances and a renovated windowed kitchen. The Russells bought the apartment in 2011 for $1.3 million, meaning they will make quite a killing off of this sale if they manage to get anywhere near what they’re asking.
