LLNYC has some good news for you, if you’ve ever dreamed of living like royalty: Buckingham Palace is hiring.
But alas, the position isn’t for a prince or princess, or even a Corgi walker, it’s for a housekeeping assistant – a live-in housekeeping assistant.
The job, which can be found on the Royal Household’s career page, involves cleaning and caring for Palace interiors, including carpets, furniture, and “historic vases and irreplaceable paintings.” No big deal.
“This is no standard housekeeping role,” says the advert, “You’ll work, and live, in stunning historic settings, ensuring that they’re presented to their best for colleagues, guests and, of course, the Royal Family.”
There’s no word on the salary, however the lucky applicant will get a comprehensive benefits package, 33 days holiday, a 15 percent employer contribution pension scheme, all meals provided, plus there’s the fact that you get to live in Buckingham Palace, which has got to be the most impressive of all workplace perks.
