Look into our crystal ball to see the Baccarat’s newest (and priciest) listing

A few days ago the latest listing from Midtown’s Baccarat Hotel & Residences hit the market.

At $23.8 million, the full-floor unit is now the most expensive apartment currently available at the building, located at 20 West 53rd Street. But, of course, by no means is it the most expensive the building has ever seen: that honor goes to the duplex penthouse which sold in June for an undisclosed amount (but was asking for a cool $54 million).

This 4,557-square-foot apartment comes with four bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, 14-foot ceilings, a private entry foyer with a signature Baccarat chandelier, and some serious views through its floor-to-ceiling windows. Plus, the benefit of having a home that’s paired with a hotel? Amenities galore. Think gym, spa, pool and one very, very nice bar.

It’s not the first time this unit has seen the market though, in 2015 it was asking $27 million.

Earlier this year, The Real Deal reported that 55 of the building’s 59 condo apartments had sold – and since then, a few more must have been snapped up; Douglas Elliman’s Lauren Muss confirmed this is the last available sponsor unit.

Back in July, Chevalier, the hotel’s French restaurant from Michelin-starred executive chef Shea Gallante, quietly closed its doors after a little more than a year open.

Gail Sankarsingh, Lauren Muss and Janice Chang of Douglas Elliman have the listing.
