Michael Engler, a three-time Emmy-nominated director who has worked on Broadway, Off-Broadway and television, has listed his glorious penthouse apartment at 263 Ninth Avenue in West Chelsea for $4.995 million, according to StreetEasy.

Engler’s television credits include many episodes of “Downton Abbey” (including the series finale), “Sex and the City,” “30 Rock,” “Six Feet Under,” “Parenthood,” “Nashville,” and “The Big C” on which he was also an Executive Producer. He received Emmy nominations for his work on “Downton Abbey,” “Sex and the City” and “30 Rock.”

On Broadway, he has directed “Eastern Standard” with Patricia Clarkson, and “Mastergate” with Alan Arkin.

He is married to Stribling broker, Steven Sumser, who is the listing agent on the apartment.

The penthouse has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with 2,250 square feet of interior space and 1,000 square feet of outdoor space. The interiors were designed by Roy McMakin of Domestic Architecture, and the space has 12-foot beamed ceilings, a chef’s kitchen and a kitchenette for the terrace and a built-in outdoor barbecue.

According to city records, Engler bought the apartment in 2006 for $2.545 million. He listed it in 2014 for $5.6 million, and then dropped the price to $5.3 million, before taking it off the market in June last year.
