1980’s icon Molly Ringwald, best known for her roles in the movies “Sixteen Candles” and “The Breakfast Club,” has sold her Manhattan duplex apartment. According to sales records filed today, the two-bedroom East Village spread sold for $1.7 million, just shy of its $1.79 million asking price. It hit the market back in June.
Ringwald purchased the co-op apartment at 122 East 10th Street in 2004, and renovated it with “a personal touch.” However, the actress saved many of the duplex’s historic details, like the marble mantles and wood-beam ceiling. It comes with one-and-a-half bathrooms, a wood-burning fireplace, an eat-in kitchen with custom stainless steel countertops and marble mosaic floors.
According to public records, the new owners of Ringwald’s spread are Alexi and Giada Lubomirski; a Polish prince and photographer, and his curator and environmentalist wife.
