The castle from Downton Abbey is hosting a vintage garden party that you can attend

Who doesn’t love a good bit of nostalgia?

Hoping to cash in on the #tbt vibe, Highclere Castle — the 5,000-acre-estate in rural Hampshire where the television show “Downton Abbey” is filmed — is throwing a Vintage Garden Party to transport modern day ladies and gents back to simpler times. Hosted by the Earl and Countess of Carnavon, the party will celebrate the castle’s interesting history.

Guests are encourage to dress in period costumes, knock back some Pimm’s and indulge in a carousel ride. Aside from gazing upon the beautifully manicured and expansive grounds, other eye and ear candy at the party will include vintage cars, a brass band and virtuouso piano performance. Tickets for the September 10th or 11th events are £120 per person and include a picnic box containing a sandwich, traditional pork pie, home-made cupcake and a bottle of water. Not so Edwardian? Gluten-free and vegan options will be provided upon request.

Sadly dogs are prohibited from attending the event. [T&C]
