Jailed socialite rents out Upper West Side townhouse for $75K a month: PHOTOS

A New York City socialite who confessed to swindling Fortune 500 companies out of millions of dollars has put her Upper West Side townhouse on the rental market while she serves out a 19-month sentence in the slammer.

Dina Wein Reis, an art dealer and wealthy girl-about-town, has listed her 13,000-square-foot Upper West Side Beaux arts-style home, at 25 Riverside Drive, for a pricey $75,000 a month, according to StreetEasy. The listing agents are Lisa Simonsen, Matthew Hakim and Ilya Chaus Hyatt of Douglas Elliman.

The Elliman team was not immediately available for comment.

Reis was recently sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. She admitted to taking discounted goods from the CEOs and high-level executives of major corporations, including companies like Procter & Gamble, Unilever, and Hershey, who thought they were providing them as samples to people within Reis’ “national distribution network.” The network never existed and, instead, Reis sold the items on the black market for heavy profits.

Reis was arrested at the Riverside Drive townhouse, on the corner of 75th Street, in 2008 and sentenced in April. She was also ordered to pay her victims $7 million in restitution plus $1 million in fines.

The corner townhouse, a six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home designed by famed architect C. P. H. Gilbert, has three exposures, bay windows and views of the Hudson River. It features a music room, a library, French 19th Century chandeliers, La Farge stained-glass doors and a Mueller Mosaic-tile fireplace, according to the listing.

The property is one of several homes owned by Reis. The fraudster and mother of three reportedly owns seven properties, including vacation homes in Westhampton and Florida.

Reis’s husband David Reis purchased the 33-foot-wide property in 1996, records show, and the pair transferred the title to a family trust in 1999, dubbed the Reis Wein Family Trust.
