Fashion Week is already almost over. And by now we are used to hearing lots of woofing from the audience. But at a Fashion Week event yesterday at Turnstyle – an abandoned subway station turned chic shopping and dining hall below Columbus Circle – the models were barking at the audience for a change.
The latest in canine fashions were on display yesterday as “dozens of dazzling dogs” strutted down the runway. The event, sponsored by Dog & Co. at Turnstyle, showed off haute pet supplies on well groomed pooches. From doggie shoes and backpacks to skateboards and sweaters, the dogs showed their stuff.
“We have the most creative retail down here and a canine couture event is a prime example of how to showcase products in ways that are entertaining and inventive,” Susan Fine, Turnstyle’s CEO and developer, said in a release.
