A Brooklyn townhouse has hit the market and you might recognize it (and not just from your dreams).
The $5.6 million, five-story brownstone at 52 South Oxford Street, Fort Greene has starred in Girls, Difficult People, Elementary, SNL, Glamour Magazine, Food and Wine Magazine, and commercials too.
The 5,600-square-foot house currently encompasses three separate apartments, but we have a sneaking suspicion that if a future buyer converted it back into a single family home the results would be superb. It has 13-foot ceilings, original 19th-century woodwork, a winding staircase that connects all five levels, plus there are currently five living areas, and seven bedrooms.
According to the listing, “this regal brownstone mansion will leave you breathless with its sheer elegance, vast space and beautiful craftsmanship.” Usually we roll our eyes at such superfluous listing information, but in this case we’ll give them a pass. Take a look at the photos and see for yourself why.
Amy Wendling of Douglas Elliman has the listing.
