Yesterday the Daily Telegraph published the most fantastic news we’ve heard all year: a diet rich in cheese might actually be good for our health.
A group of researchers from the University of Copenhagen found that eating high-fat cheese could help to improve health by offering protection against cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
To celebrate, you may want to go out and immediately stuff your faces with delicious fromage. Here are the best places to hit up in the city:
Murray’s Cheese Bar | 264 Bleeker Street
Highlights include Buffalo Cheese Curds, Classic Mac and Cheese and of course, the cheese plates.

Is there anything more perfect than fresh melted cheese scraped onto a plate? The answer you’re looking for is no.
Casellula | 401 West 52nd Street
A Hell’s Kitchen cheese and wine bar, with emphasis on the cheese. On their website they claim to have choices ranging, “from the familiar to the obscure; from mild to strong (and on to super, duper, crazy, stinky).”
