Yesterday was the actor and golf fan Bill Murray’s 66th birthday. And what better way to celebrate than announcing that he is now the proud figurehead of a fashion brand.
The “Caddyshack” star, along with his brothers – including actors John, Joel and Brian – are behind the William Murray golf line, along with entertainment website The Chive.
Fashionista received a press release explaining that the new lifestyle and apparel brand will “break away from traditional golf apparel by bringing a new look and feel to the industry with a little irreverence and a lot of style.”
And although there was no statement from any of the Murray brothers themselves, they “worked closely on all aspects of the line to ensure the brand’s authenticity, from creative design to color patterns to production and more,” said the press release.
The complete line will launch on October 20th, and you can expect to see a golf shirt with an all-over cocktail print, a checked button-down shirt, and a cap with the William Murray Golf logo on it (which looks a whole lot like this photo of Murray tossing his golf club). [Fashionista]
