British heiress lists ginormous LA mansion for $200M because why not

When Petra Blunt (formerly Petra Ecclestone, daughter of Formula One executive and billionaire Bernie Ecclestone) bought the late Aaron Spelling’s sprawling Los Angeles mansion in 2011 for $85 million, it was the highest price ever paid for a home in the United States. Since then, that record has obviously been surpassed by lots, and lots and lots of other massive sales, but Stunt isn’t out of the game quite yet. She has just listed the home, which she has extensively renovated, for an incredible $200 million.

The home is approximately 56,500 square feet, which makes it one of the largest private homes in LA, according to the Wall Street Journal. Set on five acres, it has seven bedrooms (plus a wing for servants), a two-lane bowling alley, a wine cellar, a gym with massage and tanning rooms, a 7,000-square-foot master suite with a double level closet, a swimming pool, tennis court, a circular motor court with a fountain and space to park 100 cars — we guess in case Bernie decides to pay a visit.

Stunt performed extensive renovations on the home and though her broker declined to say how much she spent, she hired approximately 500 workers to finish up the work. Let’s just assume it was quite a lot. [WSJ]
