The coolest girl in the world just lost out on a very cool apartment.

Actress and style icon Chloë Sevigny recently toured an apartment at 114 Mercer Street that she was interested in, according to sources close to the deal. However, before she could confirm whether or not she wanted to buy it, another, unknown buyer stepped in and snatched it first. Frances Katzen of Douglas Elliman had the listing and declined to comment.

The apartment Sevigny lost is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom, 2,300-square-foot co-op loft that was last listed for $3.495 million. It has 11-foot vaulted ceilings, huge windows, white brick, wide plank floors, a chef’s kitchen, a walk-in closet in the master bedroom and a “spa-level” master bathroom.

According to city records, Sevigny currently owns a three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment at 9 Prospect Park West, which she bought in 2013 for a little more than $2 million. There is no listing for her unit right now, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye out.
