Well, at least it’s not Brooklyn!
Cynthia Nixon, the actress who plays Miranda Hobbs on the cult show “Sex and the City,” and her wife Christine Marinoni have purchased an apartment at 141 East 3rd Street in the East Village for $1.49 million, according to city records. Michael Growler and William Bowers were named as co-owners of the apartment. Growler was a dresser on “Sex and The City” movies.
We’re not sure whether the East Village would be more acceptable to the SATC gals than Brooklyn, where Hobbs moves in the last season of the show.
The apartment the two couples bought is a two-bedroom, one bath co-op, which can be converted into a three-bedroom according to the listing. Set in a corner, it features southern and western views, high ceilings, herringbone floors, a Pullman kitchen (fancy word for small and narrow kitchen) and big closets. It was originally listed in March for $1.575 million.
According to city records, Nixon and Marinoni also own an apartment at 10 Bleecker Street, which they bought in 2012 for $3.25 million.
