Julia Roberts will bid farewell to Hawaii home after $10M price chop

It turns out nothing sells a house quite like a $10.5 million price chop. Just ask Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts, who is reportedly already in agreement to sell her Hawaii home, after re-listing it last week at a discounted price.

The pending sale comes after the two-acre estate on the North Shore of Kauai saw its asking price lowered to $19.5 million. When it originally hit the market last year, the beachfront house was asking almost $30 million. It was listed for $21.95 million prior to last week’s price cut.

The two-acre estate is known as the Faye Property, for former owner Hans Peter Faye, a prominent sugar plantation manager. It contains a classic 1917 plantation-style home, a guest house and 213 feet of beach frontage.

The estate totals seven bedrooms and four bathrooms with nearly 3,800 square feet of living space.

According to the LA Times, Roberts bought the property five years ago for $13.3 million.
