Unless you’ve managed to swing a First Class ticket on Emirates, flying these days isn’t exactly a glamorous experience.
Zac Posen, however, is doing his part to bring back a little bit of the retro chic we can now only glimpse at on “Mad Men.” The fashion designer just revealed his newest collection of uniforms for Delta flight attendants, and though they aren’t quite as incredible as the dress he designed for Claire Danes at this year’s Met Gala, they are certainly a serious upgrade from what the flight attendants were wearing before.
According to the Post, Posen shadowed several flight attendants for a while to figure out what kind of clothing they needed to work in comfortably. His collection consists of dresses, suits and separates that come in three colors and can be mixed-and-matched.
As you can see from his Instagram snaps, they’re certainly flattering, but we predict their most popular feature among flight attendants who have to handle garbage and other stinky substances will be their “antibacterial properties.” It’s the little things. [NYP]
