“Iron Chef” Donatella Arpaia nabs $3M condo with fancy kitchen

Celebrity chefs are making all kinds of real estate moves lately. Earlier today it was Eric Ripert, and now comes the news that the restauranteur and Food Network personality Donatella Arpaia has snapped up a three-bedroom condo at 1280 Fifth Avenue.

According to city records, Arpaia – who is a regular judge on “Iron Chef America” and “The Next Iron Chef” – and her husband Allen have paid $3 million for the Carnegie Hill home that overlooks Central Park.

The Robert AM Stern-designed apartment spans 1,863 square feet and comes with an open plan living area, over-sized windows, a kitchen with granite countertops and plenty of storage and a master suite with a walk-in closet and a limestone en-suite bathroom.

The building’s amenities include a catering kitchen, formal dining room, hidden game room, gym, children’s playroom, teen game room and a roof deck with an outdoor kitchen and swimming pool.

John Harrison of CORE had the listing.
