While it may not have a glass ceiling that opens out to the stars like Arnold does on “Hey Arnold!” the apartment of Cyma Zarghami, president of Nickelodeon, is none too shabby either. Zarghami and her husband, stage manager George Obergfoll have listed their co-op at 173-175 Riverside Drive for $7.6 million.
Zarghami joined Nickleodeon in 1985 as a scheduling clerk, and gradually moved up the ranks, becoming president in 2004. She was also named President of Viacom’s Kids and Family Group in 2006. She is credited with spearheading many of the network’s biggest initiatives, including Nick at Nite’s TV Land launch in 1996.
The pre-war apartment has 3,500 square feet, with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. According to the listing, it comes with 25 feet of Hudson River views, a formal dining room and a butler’s pantry. Though most of the photos look fairly tasteful, we did spot a bright green bench in the kitchen that seems fitting for the president of a children’s network.
Zarghami and Obergfoll bought the apartment in 2006 for $5.4 million.
