Chelsea Clinton gives her mom a pricey — but important — gift for her birthday

Um, can Chelsea Clinton buy us presents too?

According to Page Six, the former (and possible future) first daughter bought her mother a birthday present that puts that Amazon gift card you bought your mother last year to shame: a framed suffragette sash that reads “Votes for Women” and is likely from between 1910 and 1920.

Hillary Clinton has made quite a few references to the suffragettes during her campaign. She wore two amazing Ralph Lauren white pantsuits for both her speech at the Democratic National Convention and at the third debate against Donald Trump. White was the signature color of the suffragettes (a fact that the Twittersphere relished discussing after her DNC speech).

The sash Chelsea bought is likely from upscale antiques dealer Jeff Bridgman, who prices them between $4,800 to $10,000.

We bet it’s going to look really great hanging in the Oval Office. [NYP]
